Task 4 : Final Project

  WEEK 7 -WEEK 14 This is my selected design for look 1. First of all, I cut the fabric into the pattern that Ms Melina had draw for me by using the block. It only have two pieces for my look 1 so it is easy to handle it at the starting. And I combine them together to form the garment. I preparing my texture for look 1. After that, I sew them on my garment. This is how my first phase looks like. Mr Jr suggest me to fill in more to make it full so I making more and more texture. He also suggest my to add some black at the bottom on the right side. This is how it look after added black on it. I don't really like it so I decided to remove all of them. Making texture together with Zi Yue. I started to draw the pattern for my look 2 and cutting them out. Because we are running out of time so I have to do multi task at the same time. Task 2 - : Basic fitted garments

  WEEK 4 - WEEK 9   For task 2, we are required to make a women's blouse and a skirt. First of all, I create the block by using mahjong paper with the techniques that we had learn from  task 1. After that, I pin all the blocks on the calico and cut them out. I started my sewing journey with the blouse. Ms Melina guild me step by step and answer my questions patiently just to make me understand how it works. For me, I feel the zipper part is the most hard for me to handle it nicely. The first day I have finish my top part so the next day I started on my bottom which is the skirt. For me I feel like the zipper part is the hardest for me to handle it nicely. However, I manage to get all my garment done nicely. I really satisfied and proud of my first work on making a garment. Here's my final look. front right back left

Task 1 - Master pattern block

  WEEK 1 - WEEK 4 It is our 1st class for pattern drafting & garment making. My lecturer, Ms Melina teach us some basic techniques on how the sewing machine and the ironing machine work. Other than that, I am required to complete some sewing exercise. For example, straight, circle, curve and corner line. During week 2, we are required to group into a group of 3 to try on the women's bodice and sleeve pattern block. I had grouped up with Jayson and Rez to complete the task. Ms Melina showing us how to draw a perfect and proper pattern block. During week 3, we learn how to do french dart and center front dart. First, I create a block on the Mahjong paper then transform them on the calico. Other than that, we also learn several type of hand stitching. Ms Melina send us few notes to make us more clear on the task. Submission of task 1:
